Century Bottling Company won a SILVER AWARD as an employer of choice in the Federation of Uganda 2009 Awards ceremony. This was a culmination of a six month Employer of the year 2009 Survey. The Awards event took place on Friday 26 February 2010 at a Dinner in the Rwenzori ball room of the Sheraton Kampala Hotel.

The Employer of the Year Award (EYA) is a major Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE) initiative and annual national business event geared towards encouraging decent work through promoting best Human Resource Management/Business practices in a bid to enhance productivity, organization competitiveness and corporate social responsibility in the country

This is a very unique and important corporate event on the local business calendar. The event is competitive by management teams in the public and private sectors within Uganda showcasing their best workplace practices. It also offers a unique opportunity to network with and reach a high quality audience comprising chief executives, heads of parastatals, heads of missions, corporate management teams and many other decision-makers.

This is the second Silver award in a row in the overall category making CBC as one of the Top 4 Employers in Uganda as MTN Uganda also got silver while Nile Breweries and Zain Uganda both emerged Gold Winners.

Congratulations to all of you who participated in the survey and for all employees of CBC, this is a moment to be proud of as being members of one of the top employers in the land
